Content marketing for construction companies, actually published.

Most construction content programs die at the same point. Somebody writes the articles, they arrive as documents, and then they sit in a folder because nobody at the company has time to format them, add an image and publish them. The invoice was paid, the work exists, and none of it is on the internet.

Meanwhile the questions your buyers ask keep going unanswered on your domain. Cost per square foot, timeline, allowances, the difference between spec and presale. Somebody ranks for every one of those, collects the buyer months before you would have met them, and by the time the buyer reaches your site the shortlist is already formed.

This is handled differently. Content is written by LavishContent, a sister brand, and posted directly to your site with author level access. You approve, it goes live, and you own it permanently. Twelve monthly plans, priced by volume and length, with revisions until you are satisfied.

Pricing

Twelve plans, priced by the month.

Content is priced per month by volume and length, never per post. Pick the row for how many posts you want and the column for how long they should be. Every plan includes keyword research, the writing itself, posting to your site, a featured image and revisions until approved.

Posts per month 500 words 1,000 words 2,500 words
4 posts $26 /mo $44 /mo $88 /mo
8 posts $48 /mo $80 /mo $160 /mo
16 posts $87 /mo $144 /mo $288 /mo
30 posts $144 /mo $240 /mo $480 /mo
  • Keyword research
  • SEO writing
  • Posting directly to your site with author level access
  • A featured image
  • Revisions until approved
  • Full ownership of the content

For most builders and construction firms, eight posts a month at 1,000 words is the sensible starting point at $80 a month. Four 500 word posts at $26 is enough to keep a blog alive but not enough to move a competitive keyword set. Thirty 2,500 word posts at $480 is a serious publishing operation and suits firms treating content as a primary channel.

The method

Five steps, in this order, every time.

Content that is not attached to a keyword map is decoration. The market review and keyword analysis stages come first so that every commissioned post is aimed at a query somebody actually types, rather than at a topic that sounded reasonable in a meeting.

  1. 01

    Market review

Your communities, plan names, build areas and the firms you lose to. We record what ranks today for each name you own.

  2. 02

    Keyword analysis

Branded assets first, then research intent, then commercial intent. In-depth research from Golden upward.

  3. 03

    On-page checks

Indexation, templates, internal linking, page structure. We report what your platform blocks before you buy.

  4. 04

    Authority build

Guest posts on DA 20+ sites and Web 2.0 properties on DA 50+, each delivered as a live URL you keep.

  5. 05

    Report and refine

Monthly. Positions, placements, and what changes next month. Your account manager writes it, not a dashboard.

05

What you get

Written, posted, and yours.

  • Keyword research per post Each post is assigned a primary query before anybody writes a word, drawn from the same keyword map the SEO program works from.
  • SEO writing, not filler Written to answer the query properly. Cost content with the variables named, process content that explains rather than reassures.
  • Posted directly to your site With author level access. This is the step most content programs skip, and it is the reason most content programs produce nothing.
  • A featured image with each post Included in every plan at every length. No separate image budget and no stock photograph of somebody in a high-visibility vest.
  • Revisions until approved Not two rounds, not three. Until you are satisfied it says what your firm would say.
  • Full ownership of everything The content is yours permanently. If you cancel, nothing is unpublished and nothing is clawed back.

Plainly, what this is

Content writing here is research, writing, and publishing. Somebody works out what your buyers search, somebody writes a genuine answer to it, and somebody puts it on your website. The third part is what you are actually paying for, because the first two are available anywhere.

What it is not

It is not thought leadership, it is not brand storytelling, and it is not social media management. It is not construction advice: nothing written will state licensing requirements, code compliance or lending terms as fact, because those vary by jurisdiction. Where a post touches those areas it points the reader to their own authority.

06

Why construction content marketing is its own discipline

Four things construction content has to get right.

01

Cost questions are the highest volume, and everyone dodges them

Cost per square foot is the most searched question in this industry and most firms refuse to answer it. A range with the variables named attracts better qualified inquiries than silence does, and it is the single most valuable post most builders never publish.

02

The vocabulary has to be right

Allowances, selections, draw schedule, punch list, change orders. A writer who uses these loosely is detected instantly by the reader you are trying to convert, and the page loses whatever authority the ranking bought it.

03

Publishing has to be part of the service

Builders and contractors do not have a marketing department sitting idle. Content that arrives as a document does not get published, which is why posting with author level access is included rather than optional.

04

Seasonality decides the schedule

Content aimed at spring buyers has to be indexed and settled months earlier. The publishing calendar works backwards from the selling season rather than forwards from the contract date.

Visibility compounds. Ad spend stops the day you stop paying for it.

07

Process

How a month runs.

  1. Week 1 Briefs assigned Each post in the month is assigned a primary query from the keyword map, with the angle and the required scope written into the brief before drafting starts.
  2. Week 2 Drafts written Written by LavishContent against the brief, with the trade vocabulary used accurately and nothing stated as fact that varies by jurisdiction.
  3. Week 3 Your review You read them and mark anything that does not sound like your firm. Revisions run until approved, with no cap on rounds.
  4. Week 4 Published and linked Posted directly to your site with the featured image, then linked internally from the service and area pages that should carry authority to them.

Questions

About this service.

How much does construction content marketing cost?

Twelve monthly plans from $26 a month for four 500 word posts up to $480 a month for thirty 2,500 word posts. Pricing is always monthly and never quoted per post. Most builders start at eight 1,000 word posts for $80 a month.

Who actually writes it?

LavishContent, a sister brand of the parent agency. The same keyword map drives both the content and the SEO program, so the posts are aimed at queries the wider program is already working on rather than at a separate topic list.

Do we have to publish it ourselves?

No, and that is the point. Posts are published directly to your site with author level access, including the featured image. You approve before anything goes live.

Can we buy content without an SEO program?

Yes. Content plans are sold separately and work on their own. They work considerably better alongside an SEO program, because content with no authority pointed at it takes far longer to rank, but there is no requirement to buy both.

What happens to the content if we cancel?

It stays published and it stays yours. There is no license, no clawback and no takedown. Everything written under the plan is your property permanently.

Will you write about topics we disagree with?

No. Every post goes through your review before publishing, and revisions run until you approve. If your firm takes a particular position on an approach, the content reflects your position rather than a generic one.

How many posts a month does a builder actually need?

It depends on how many keyword gaps you are trying to close and how quickly. Four posts a month keeps a site from looking abandoned and will slowly build a base of process and cost content.

Eight posts a month is the point at which a keyword map of forty terms starts getting covered within a year rather than within three. Sixteen or thirty a month suits firms treating publishing as a primary acquisition channel, or firms with several markets and service lines to cover simultaneously. We would rather size it against your keyword map than sell you the largest plan.

What length should posts be?

Length should follow the query rather than a policy. A cost per square foot page that has to name the variables honestly needs 1,000 to 2,500 words to do it. A page answering what an allowance is can be complete at 500.

Buying the longest option for every post wastes budget on queries that do not need it, and buying the shortest for everything leaves the valuable pages too thin to hold a position. Most builders end up on the 1,000 word column for that reason.

How do you decide which SEO keywords for construction content to target?

From the same keyword map the SEO program works from, not from a separate topic list. Each post is assigned one primary query before drafting, chosen because somebody actually searches it and because no page on your site currently answers it. Cost and process questions usually come first, because they carry the most volume and the fewest competent answers.
