Gross margin calculator

What better visibility is worth, in closings.

Enter your own numbers. The math is shown at every step, and you can change any figure. Nothing is sent anywhere until you ask for the breakdown.

This models additional search-sourced buyers from better visibility. Fifteen percent is deliberately conservative. Adjust it if you know your own numbers.

Step 3 · What better visibility is worth

$233,280

in additional annual gross margin

24 closings × 80% starting online = 19.2
15% lift = 2.9 additional closings/year
$450,000 × 18% margin = $81,000 gross each
$233,280/year

Step 4 · Against the program cost

The Community Reach program is $325 a month, or $3,900 a year. That is

$1,354

per additional closing.

These are illustrative projections based on figures you entered. They are not a forecast or a guarantee.

Recommended from your numbers: Community Reach at $325/mo

04

The structural problem

Your communities are ranking. Just not on your site.

NewHomeSource, Zillow, Realtor.com, BDX and Homes.com frequently outrank a builder for that builder's own community names, floor plan names, and new construction queries in the areas they build. The buyer finds your inventory on someone else's page, submits a form there, and you pay for that lead a second time.

It is the same structural problem car dealers have with the listing sites. The difference is that it is winnable. You own the entity being searched. The community exists because you built it, the plan name is yours, and search engines will rank the owner of a named thing first when the owner publishes a page worth ranking.

The work that closes the gap

  • One page per community, not one page listing all of them.
  • One page per floor plan name, with the plan as the entity.
  • Area pages for the metros and school districts you actually build in.
  • Authority pointed at those pages, every link delivered as a live URL.

Positions shown are an illustration of the pattern, not measured data from any client account.

Who we work with

Seven kinds of company, seven different search problems.

A production builder needs community and plan pages at volume. A custom builder needs to be found by people who have not chosen a builder yet. The program is sized to the problem, not to the company.

  • 01

    Custom home builders

Long research cycles and no inventory to list. Found through plans, cost questions and the areas you take work in.

    Custom builders
  • 02

    Production and tract builders

The most portal exposure of any segment. Community and plan names are branded search you should own outright.

    Production builders
  • 03

    Luxury home builders

Low volume, high value, and a buyer who reads everything. Depth per page matters more than keyword count.

    Luxury builders
  • 04

    Remodelers and renovation

Project type plus area. Kitchen, whole home, addition, each with its own page and its own intent.

    Design-build firms

You rank for design intent and construction intent at once, which widens the keyword set considerably.

Smaller volume, longer cycle, more technical language. Content carries more weight than links here.

How reporting works

Every link arrives as a URL you can click.

Most link reports are a count. Ours is a list. You get the live page, the domain authority at the time of placement, the anchor, and the date. Open any row and read the article. The report remains your record of delivered work. Third-party publishers control their own websites, so continued placement cannot be guaranteed.

What your monthly report contains

For each delivered link, the report lists its live URL, target page and anchor text. You can open the placement and check where it points.

Your account manager also explains the completed work and the next priorities. Review the report alongside website inquiries and the projects your sales team qualifies.

A live URL for every link

Not a count, not a screenshot, not a domain list. The page, the anchor, the authority figure at placement, the date.

Keep a record of the delivered work

Guest posts and Web 2.0 properties stay live and stay yours. Cancel and the work you already paid for remains.

Month to month, setup waived

No contract, no minimum term, no setup fee. A dedicated account manager on every plan including Site Start at $125.

No ranking guarantees

We will not promise positions, home sales or lead volume. Anyone who does is guessing on your budget.

Visibility compounds. Ad spend stops the day you stop paying for it.

Questions

Answered plainly.

How long before we see movement?

Most of our builder programs show keyword movement inside 60 to 90 days, with meaningful traffic change between months four and six. Community and plan name pages often move faster than competitive metro terms because you own the entity being searched. We will not promise a position or a date.

We are locked into a builder platform. Does that matter?

Less than you would think. Many builders run on BDX, Builder Designs, Group Two or a similar vendor with limited template control and syndicated inventory. Content, internal linking, page structure and authority all still move regardless of who owns the CMS. We will tell you which items your platform blocks before you buy anything.

Which plan should a builder actually pick?

Community Reach or Builder Portfolio in most cases. A builder targeting several communities, a set of floor plan names and a metro area needs more than the 20 keywords Project Reach covers. If you run one community and one service area, Project Reach is honest. The calculator sizes it from your own numbers.

Do you guarantee rankings?

No. We do not guarantee rankings, home sales or lead volume, and we will not sign a document that says we do. What we do guarantee is that every link is delivered with a live, clickable URL and that the completed work is documented in your report.

Is there a contract?

No. Every program is month to month and can be canceled anytime. The setup fee is waived on all five plans, and each plan includes a dedicated account manager. Programs are also available as a one-time order if you would rather not subscribe.

Do you work with subcontractors and trades?

A home builder SEO company that also serves every other trade is usually averaging its research across all of them. We reference trades throughout our work with builders, but this site serves home builders, residential construction firms and general contractors. Specialist trade contractors are served by other sites in the same network, and we will point you to the right one rather than sell you the wrong program.
